Removing The Tie Rod

Raise the car.

Remove 

• the wheel
• the mounting for the parking brake cable on the tie rod
• the inner and outer tie rod retaining screws
• the tie rod.

Remove: 

• the spring strut from the control arm.
  NOTE:

  The spring struts are slightly compressed.
