Engine braking

In gear shift position 3 the power flow is as described below, with the difference that 3rd clutch (C3) and freewheel 3 (F1) are connected. At engine braking the power is reversed over the input clutch (C1) via freewheel 2 (F2) instead of 3rd clutch (C3) and freewheel 3 (F1).

If the transmission is equipped with Geartronic and the power in the third manual gear will take the same route as in third gear in gear shift position 3.
