Engine brake

In gearshift position 2 the power flow is the same as is described above with the one difference that brake 2 (B2) is locked using a servo (17). Brake 2 allows engine braking by locking the rear sun gear drum (6) which would otherwise freewheel using freewheel 3 (F3). Brake 3 (B3) is connected but has no function.

NOTE:

If the transmission is equipped with Geartronic the power in the second manual gear will take the same route as in second gear in gear shift position 2.
