Measuring lateral run-out

Put the test gauge point against the hub flange as shown in the illustration.

Rotate the hub gently. Use a socket to help.

Note the test gauge run-out. Hub maximum lateral run-out: 0.020 mm.

If the lateral run-out exceeds this value, replace the hub.
