Checking Remote Controlled Immobilizing
NOTE:
This fault tracing only applies to vehicles with the function for remote controlled immobilizing. Is DTC CEM-6C57 stored? Fault trace this diagnostic DTC first.
HINT: Function for remote controlled immobilizing is only available on certain markets and only in combination with Volvo On Call.
If the vehicle cannot be started, the cause may be that the vehicle has been remote-immobilized via Volvo On Call Service Center. The vehicle may also have been remotely immobilized if the Central electronic module (CEM) identified problems with the components used for the function.

The following options are available:
- Vehicle immobilised by remote control.
- Vehicle mobilised by remote control.
- Vehicle mobilised by remote control but remote controlled immobilising continues.

The following options are available:
- Vehicle remotely immobilised by Volvo On Call Service Center.
- No or incorrect communication between the Phone module (PHM) and Central electronic module (CEM).
- Vehicle remotely immobilised by VIDA (Volvo scan tool).
To cancel a remote-controlled immobilization, Volvo On Call Service Center has to remobilize the vehicle.
Remedy as necessary.
