Adjusting The Tension Of The Chain
- Tighten the tensioner strap until it is fully tensioned between the housing and the mounting arm. The quick-tensioner locks the strap in the tensioned positioned.NOTE:
The inset picture shows the correct strap tension.
- Thread the end of the tensioner strap through the girdle (A) and through the housing following the markings.
- Close the lever.
- Press the safety catches to the locked position.
- Drive forward or backwards carefully so that the chains pulls itself up onto the wheel.NOTE:
If installing when on an incline; drive downwards if possible.
The tensioner strap must be tensioned when the chain net is in place.
- Check the tension of the tensioner strap. If the tensioner strap is still loose, tighten it further.
