Flushing the oil cooler and oil hoses

The oil cooler and hoses must always be flushed through when replacing the transmission.

Remove the oil pan. Check for metal particles on the magnet.

Replace the oil cooler and oil pipes if there is: 

• Glycol in the transmission fluid
• Metal particles in the transmission fluid
• Burned or dirty oil.
