Checking oil level/filling
Remove the filler plug (1) and fill with oil.
Use: Volvo transmission oil P/N 116 1723 (1 liter).
Fill the transmission with oil so the oil level is 5-10 mm below the filler plug.
HINT: Make a 90◦ bend 10 mm from the end of a cable tie and check the oil level.
Fit the oil filler plug (1) with a new gasket. Tighten in accordance with:
The total oil volume of the transmission is 2.3 liters.
When replacing the transmission there is about 0.2 l of oil remaining in the transmission, so the filling volume is approximately 2.1 liters.
