Rear wheel hub, replacing: Installation
For tightening torque, see Tightening torque and Tightening torque .
Installing the hub
Install:
- the hub to the wheel spindle
Use new screws. Tighten. See Tightening torque .
- the wheel sensor (M6). Tighten. See Tightening torque .
Removing the tensioner
Remove the tensioner. Tensioner 999 5659, User instructions .
Installing the brake disc and brake caliper
Install:
- the brake disc
- the brake disc locating pin/screw (M6). Tighten. See Tightening torque .
- the brake caliper
- the brake caliper mounting screws.
Use new screws. Tighten. See Tightening torque .
- the wheel sensor cable to the retainer on the brake hose.
Installing the rear wheel
Install the rear wheel. See Installing wheels .
For tightening torques, see Tightening torque and Tightening torque .
Installation of hub and drive shaft
Install:
- the hub on the stub axle and drive shaft.
Use new screws. Tighten. See: Summary of tightening torques for specific components
- a new screw loosely on the drive shaft. The screw will be tightened later
- the wheel sensor M6, tighten. Refer to: Tightening torque .
Removing the tensioner
Remove tensioner. Refer to: Tensioner 999 5659, User instructions .
Installing the brake disc and brake caliper
Install:
- the brake disc
- brake disc guide pin/screw M6, tighten. Refer to: Tightening torque
- the brake caliper
- the brake caliper mounting screws.
Use new screws. Tighten. See: Summary of specific components and tightening torques
- the wheel sensor lead to the holder on the brake hose.
Fitting the rear wheel
Install the screw, M10 to the drive shaft. Use a new screw. Tighten.
Fit the rear wheel. Refer to: Installing wheels

Fitting the rear wheel
Install the screw, M10 to the drive shaft. Use a new screw. Tighten.
