Removing rear bumper

Open the tailgate.

Remove: 

HINT: Use butyl tape to secure the nuts in the socket. Otherwise the nuts are easy to lose.

Remove:

Remove the rivets, 1 per side. See: Removing rivet .

Slacken off the screws (5), 1 on each side, until the slide mounting releases from the bumper cover.

HINT: Press the screw so that the screw head bottoms out.

Pull the bumper backwards while pulling both the sides outwards so that the edge releases from the side bracket.

NOTE:

Two people are required for this task.
