Checking the idle air control (IAC) valve

Check that the resistance of the idle air control (IAC) valve is approximately 10 Ω between terminals #1 and #2.

Check the signal cable between idle air control (IAC) valve terminal #2 and engine control module (ECM) terminal #64. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
