Checking components and wiring

Check that the resistance in the canister purge (CP) valve between terminals #1 and #2 is approximately 21 Ω at +20 °C.

Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal 4 and canister purge (CP) valve terminal #1. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults . Remedy if necessary.
