Checking brake valves

• Ignition off.
• Brake valve disconnected.
• Connect the selector switch.
• Selector switch in the OFF position.

  Connect an ohmmeter between the terminal pins on the brake valve.

The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 Ω when the brake pedal is unaffected. The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance when the pedal is depressed more than 8 mm. 

• OK 

  Refer to Checking for a short-circuit 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Adjusting the brake valve
