Checking the function of the electric auxiliary pump

• Remove the engine guard.
  • LHD car, see 2 above.
  • RHD car, see 1 above.
• Move the insulation aside and detach the vacuum hose of the pump from the T-valve.
  • LHD car, see 2 above.
  • RHD car, see 1 above.
  NOTE: First check the function of the T-valve. See Checking the T-valve 
• Ignition on: Listen to the electric auxiliary pump. Is it activated and does it run for a few seconds?

• If the electric auxiliary pump is not activated, see Checking fuses, relays, pressostat and cable harness 
• If the electric auxiliary pump is activated and runs, see Checking the output of the electric auxiliary pump
