Checking the wiring

Check the following cables for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to ground between:

• the function selector switch connector terminal 1 and combined instrument panel terminal #A3
• the function selector switch connector terminal 2 and combined instrument panel terminal #A5
• the function selector switch connector terminal 7 and combined instrument panel terminal #A6.

If no faults are found in the wiring, try a new function selector switch.
