Checking the wiring and component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D3 and solenoid SLT terminal #1. Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D4 and solenoid SLT terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Also check against the other cables in the circuit. Use the relevant wiring diagram.
Check solenoid SLT by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2 on the connector. The resistance must be 5-5.6 Ω at 20°C. Replace the control system if the resistance is incorrect.
