Intermittent fault
Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B6 (#A66) and transmission connector terminal #C5 (control module side). Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults . Check for contact resistance and oxidation. See Contact resistance and oxidation .
- Check the circuit for solenoid S5. Switch off the ignition. Disconnect the control module. Measure the resistance between terminals #B6 (#A66) and #A53 (#A53) on the breakout box. The resistance must be 11-15 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
