Intermittent fault
Check the transmission control module (TCM) and transmission connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
Check the cable between control module terminal #A47 (#A47) and transmission connector terminal #C4. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
- Check the circuit for solenoid S4. Switch off the ignition. Disconnect the control module. Measure the resistance between terminals #A47 (#A47) and #A53 (#A53) on the breakout box. The resistance must be 11-15 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
