Intermittent fault
Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #A48 (#A48) and transmission connector terminal #C3. Check for intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults . Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
- Check the circuit for solenoid S3. Switch off the ignition. Disconnect the control module. Measure the resistance between terminals #A48 (#A48) and #A53 (#A53) on the breakout box. The resistance must be 11-15 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
