Checking the wiring and component
Check the cable between the gear selector module (GSM) and the shift lock solenoid. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
If no fault is found in the wiring, connect an ohmmeter to solenoid connector terminals #1 and #2 (solenoid side).
The resistance must be 15-25 Ω. Replace the solenoid if the resistance is incorrect. Replace the printed circuit board in the top panel if the resistance is OK.
Remedy as necessary.
