Intermittent fault

Check the control module for the gear selector and the solenoid connectors. Check for intermittent contact resistance according to Loose connections (terminals) .

Check the cable between the gear selector module (GSM) and the shift lock solenoid. Check for an intermittent open-circuit. See Open-circuit, intermittent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
