Checking the wiring and component
Check the cable between the gear selector module (GSM) and the solenoid connectors. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
HINT: With a voltmeter connected to solenoid connector terminals #1 and #2 (gear selector control module side), the voltage should be 0 V when the brake pedal is not depressed and approximately Ubat when it is depressed. Replace the solenoid if the voltage is OK
Remedy as necessary.
