Checking wiring and sensors
- Ignition off.
Check the cables between transmission control module (TCM) terminals #A59 (#A59) and #A41 (#A41) and transmission connector terminals #A2 and #A1. Check for a short-circuit to each other.
Check the power supply cable between control module terminal #A59 (#A59) and transmission connector terminal #A2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Check the signal cable between control module terminal #A41 (#A41) and transmission connector terminal #A1. Check for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
HINT: With the control module connected, the ignition on and a voltmeter connected between transmission connector terminals #A2 and #A1 (control module side), the voltage must be 1-3 V below Ubat.
Remedy as necessary.
