Erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

HINT: When diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are erased, the information stored at the same time as the DTC is also erased. Therefore it is suggested that the extended diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information (frozen values) is read off before the DTCs are erased. To read off extended fault-tracing information: save a bookmark, select cancel and go to VIDA vehicle communication.

• Ignition off
• Wait for two minutes to allow time for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to be stored in the control module memory
• Ignition on
• Erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
