Checking wiring and sensors
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the transmission connector
- Connect the breakout box to the transmission connector (control module side)
- Disconnect the control module.
- Connect the breakout box to the control module connector (transmission side).
Check the transmission input speed sensor cable for power supply between control module terminal #59 (#A59) and transmission connector terminal #S (#A16). Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Check the signal cable between control module terminal #41 (#A41) and transmission connector terminal #V (#A19). Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Remedy as necessary.
HINT: With the control module connected and the ignition on, the voltage between transmission connector terminal #16 and ground (breakout box terminal #53) must be approximately 1-3 V below Ubat.
