Checking wiring and sensors
- Ignition off
- Connect the breakout box.
Check the power supply cable between transmission output speed sensor connector terminal #A4 (control module side) and control module terminal #57 (#A57). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Check the signal cable between transmission output speed sensor connector terminal #A3 (control module side) and control module terminal #39 (#A39). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
HINT: With the control module connected, the transmission output speed sensor disconnected and the ignition on, the voltage between transmission output speed sensor connector terminals #A3 and #A4 must be approximately 1-3 V below Ubat.
Remedy as necessary.
