Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Lock-up solenoid SL controls the transmission lock-up function. Solenoid SL operates when it receives voltage from the transmission control module (TCM) and is activated under different driving conditions depending on road speed, throttle position and the driving mode selected. The control module checks if lock-up solenoid SL is stuck in open or closed position by comparing the signals from solenoid SL and lock-up pressure sensor PS4. Pressure sensor PS4 detects whether solenoid SL is activated or not. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-0015 is stored if the signals do not correspond with each other for 10 seconds.

- The control module does not activate the lock-up solenoid.

- Lock-up solenoid SL has stuck in open or shut position.
- Defective solenoid SL.
Fault symptom[s]
- Automatic transmission warning lamp flashes.
- No lock-up function.
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
