Removing the drive shaft from the gearbox

Position a container under the gearbox to collect the oil (Applies to cars with manual and automatic AW50-42 transmissions).

Remove the bearing cap from the support bearing for the drive shaft.

Pull the drive shaft out of the gearbox.

NOTE:

Pull the inner section of the drive shaft closest to the gearbox when removing it. There is no axial stop in the inner joint.

NOTE:

Take care not to damage the drive shaft when removing it from the gearbox.

Install: 9995488 to the transmission (Applies to vehicles with manual and automatic transmission AW50-42).
