Front Wheel Hub Aluminium: Installation
Installing the hub
- Install the hub. Use new screws
- Tighten crosswise to 20 Nm
- Then tighten to 65 Nm
- Angle-tighten 60° . Use bevel protractor 9512050 .
Turn in the spring strut and position the drive shaft in the hub.
NOTE:
Check that the seal is not worn or damaged.
Installing the drive shaft
- Install the screw loosely on the drive shaft. Use a new screw
- Align the ball joint in the control arm

NOTE:
Be very careful when releasing the tension strap.
- Release the control arm slowly using the tension strap.
Installing the ball joint
Install a new nut on the ball joint.
NOTE:
The ball joint must not rotate. Use a Torx spanner as a counterhold so that the rubber boot is not damaged.
Tighten, see: Tightening torque .
Installing the brake disc
Install the brake disc.
Tighten the brake disc locating pin. Tighten to 8 Nm .
NOTE:
Ensure that the brake disc and wheel rim hub mating surfaces are clean.
Tighten the new drive shaft screw. See Summary of tightening torques for specific components .
Use angle gauge 9512050 .
Installing brake calipers
- Install the brake caliper and the limiter
- Use new screws
- Tighten to 100 Nm .
- Install the wheel. See Installing wheels .
