Checking wiring and sensors

Check the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor

terminal #5 (terminal (#A29) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #4 (terminal #A4)

terminal #12 (terminal (#A36) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #13 (terminal #A3)

terminal #13 (terminal (#A37) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #11 (terminal #A11)

terminal #14 (terminal (#A38) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #18 (terminal #A18)

check for a short-circuit to each other or an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .

Try replacing the steering wheel angle sensor if no faults are found in the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor and the steering wheel module (SWM).
