Installing the counterhold

Clean the surfaces on the steering rack and the tool thoroughly .

NOTE: Cleanliness is very important as the seals in the steering gear are sensitive to scratches on the rack.

Install counterhold 9997020 .

Tighten to 25 Nm .

Position the counterhold as close to the limiter as possible. When replacing with a longer limiter, measure the new limiter and position the counterhold so that there is enough space for the new limiter.
