Condition

The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the switch for the passenger airbag.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the switch has an internal fault which causes incorrect operation.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II and III.

Possible Source 

• Fault in the switch for the passenger airbag.

Fault symptom[s] 

• SRS indicator lamp lit
• PAD lamp lit.
