Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-021C

Condition

The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the front left front impact sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-021C is stored if the resistance in the signal cable wiring circuit is lower than 10 Ω for longer than 10 seconds.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-021C can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• If the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) identifies that a front impact sensor is installed, despite the control module being programmed that a front left front impact sensor is not installed.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
