Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-021A

Condition

The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the front left front impact sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-0021A is stored if the control module registers an incorrect identification signal in the signal cable for longer than 10 seconds.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-021A can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Faulty front impact sensor installed in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS)
• The signal between the front impact sensor and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) has been affected by electrical interference. This causes the front impact sensor to respond with an incorrect identification signal.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
