Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-012B is stored if the on-board diagnostic system has registered a fault in any of the internal control module functions.

Possible Source

Internal fault in the SRS control module.

Fault symptom[s]

The SRS indicator lamp is lit.

WARNING:

There is a risk that the SRS system will not function if this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.

NOTE:

In the event of an internal fault, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) must not be erased. The SRS control module must be returned to Volvo according to standard procedures.
