The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the seat belt tensioner.

One of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) will be stored if the resistance in any of the wiring circuits is lower than 10 Ω for longer than 10 seconds:

SRS-00A6

SRS-00AE

depending on which wiring circuit the fault is in.

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs):

SRS-00AE

can only be diagnosed when switching on the power (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can only be diagnosed when you switch from ignition position 0 to ignition positions I, II or III.

None.

Possible Source

If the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) identifies that an inflatable curtain is installed, despite the control module being programmed that an inflatable curtain is not installed.

Fault symptom[s]

The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
