Checking components and wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect special tool
9511506
from the connector for seat belt tensioner.WARNING:
Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings from a disconnected undeployed seat belt tensioner. This could deploy the seat belt tensioner
CAUTION:Do not touch the terminal pins in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS). There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).
Check the cable between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) terminal #12A (12), terminal #11A (11) and connector terminal #1, terminal #3 on the left seat belt tensioner on the 3rd seat row. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Connect special tool 9511506 to the connector for seat belt tensioner.
Check the resistance between terminals #12A (12), #11A (11) to the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS). The resistance between the terminals should be infinite.
Remedy as necessary.
