Ignition off.
WARNING:
Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected, non-deployed, pyrotechnical airbag. This could deploy the airbag

CAUTION:
Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the SRS control module.

Check the connectors for:
- 2-pin
- the SRS control module.
check for contact resistance and oxidation. See Contact resistance and oxidation . Check for loose connections. See Loose connections (terminals) .

Check the female and male ends of the connector for the SRS control module and the 2-pin connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.

Check the cable between SRS control module terminal #4C (60) and connector terminal #1 on the right-hand side impact protection (SIPS) bag for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .

Check the cable between SRS control module terminal #3C (59) and the 2-pin connector terminal #2 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .

Remedy as necessary.

- With the ignition off and the 2-pin connector disconnected, the resistance between the 2-pin connector terminals #1 and #2 (SRS control module side) should be approximately 22 kΩ.
