Checking component and wiring

from the connector for the right-hand side impact protection (SIPS) bag.WARNING:
Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non-deployed pyrotechnical airbag. This could deploy the airbag
CAUTION:Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the SRS control module.
Check the female and male parts of the connector for the SRS control module and the 2-pin connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the cable between the control module for the SRS #4C(60) and connector #1 on the right-hand side impact protection (SIPS) bag for open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check the cable between the control module for the SRS #3C (59) and connector #3 on the right-hand side impact protection (SIPS) bag for open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
HINT: Checking the integrated capacitor in the igniter connector by taking resistance measurements.
HINT: With the ignition off, connect the test instrument probes between driver's airbag connector #1 and #3. The ohmmeter reading should rise rapidly to infinity.
HINT: Reverse the position of the ohmmeter positive and negative test probes and connect them to the connector as above. The ohmmeter reading should drop rapidly to approximately 0 Ω and then increase to infinity.
Remedy as necessary.

- With the ignition off and the 4-pin connector disconnected, the resistance between the 4-pin connector #1 and #2 (SRS control module side) should be approximately 22 kΩ.
