Removing driver's airbag (SRS)

Turn the steering wheel so that there is enough space for tools.

Slacken off the two screws positioned at 45 degrees on the reverse of the steering wheel.

Pull out the airbag to access the connectors.

Remove: 

• the SRS ignition cable connector. See: Igniter wire connector
• the 2 connectors (there may be more or fewer).

Remove the airbag.

Transfer the keypads/ covers. See: Keypad unit, steering wheel, replacing .
