Checking the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Check which of the following alternatives apply when reading off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the climate control module (CCM).
Alternative 1
If the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored with one or more other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for direction control, this indicates a fault in the matrix network governing direction control.
The damper motors are connected in series in the matrix network governing direction control. In the event of a fault in the network, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be stored for all damper motors which are in motion at the same time.
The following are probable fault causes:
- short-circuit between the wiring in the matrix network
- short-circuit to supply voltage
- short-circuit to ground
- damaged damper motor.
Check to see if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has been stored with any of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs):
- CCM-0011
Refer to Checking the wiring
- CCM-0012
Refer to Checking components and wiring
- CCM-0014
- CCM-0015
- CCM-0016
- CCM-0017
- CCM-0018
Alternative 2
Check whether the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has only been stored with the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for direction control, CCM-0017 and CCM-0018.
