Installing crankshaft adjustment tool

Remove: 

• starter motor mounting screws.

Pull out the starter motor and put to one side.

Remove: 

• blind cover plug for hole for adjustment tool.

Turn the crankshaft slightly clockwise. Install camshaft adjustment tool 9995451 , ensure that it bottoms against the cylinder block.

Turn the crankshaft back counter-clockwise until it stops against the adjustment tool.

Check that the marking on the crankshaft timing gear pulley corresponds with the marking on the oil pump.

Select the appropriate engine variant: 

1. B6304 S
