Condition 

If there is an open-circuit in the circuit controlling the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) the engine control module (ECM) interprets this as a fault and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the signal cable
• Open-circuit in the power cable.
