Checking components and wiring: Notes
CAUTION:
Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.
- Ignition off.
Check the signal cable (+) for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) between control module terminal #A61 and preheating cable terminal #A6. Check for a short-circuit to each other.
Check the signal cable (-) for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) between control module terminal #A62 and preheating cable terminal #A6. Check for a short-circuit to each other.
Try a new heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) if the wiring is OK.
Remedy as necessary.
