Checking the components and wiring
CAUTION:
Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.
Check the power cable between the engine control module (ECM) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to the other signal cables for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Check the ground lead between engine control module (ECM) terminals #A70 (#B10) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector terminal #4. Check for a short-circuit to the other signal cables for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Try a new heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) if the wiring is OK.
Remedy as necessary.
