Measuring the line pressure
- Connect the pressure gauge according to see Connecting fuel pressure gauge
- HINT: If the engines starts, do not override the fuel pump (FP). Continue if this is the case, with: "Read off the line pressure from the pressure gauge".
- Remove the cover from the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment at the firewall
- Remove the fuel pump (FP) relay (103 (terminal 2/23)
- Connect a cable (as illustrated on the relay base) between terminals 15 and 87
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
Read off the line pressure from the pressure gauge.
The system pressure must be:
- B5254S DENSO 1999: B5254S DENSO 1999: 300 1 kPa
- other engines with Fenix 5.2: 300 kPa.
Check the residual pressure if the fuel pressure is OK.
Remedy as necessary.
