Removing The Timing Gear Pulley

Install tool 9995452 at the rear of the camshafts.

Remove 

• the center plug for the variable valve timing unit
• variable valve timing unit center screw.

  Pull / pry off the variable valve timing unit and timing gear pulley

• screws holding the timing belt (without the variable valve timing unit) to the camshaft
• the timing gear pulley
• tool 999 5452.
