Separating The Exhaust System

Remove 

• the 8 nuts at the front exhaust system connection to the turbocharger exhaust bends.
• the first mounting bracket for the exhaust system downstream of the catalytic converter from the body.
• the front SIPS member from the body.
• the brake pipe from the holders on the SIPS member.

Press the exhaust system back so that there is 60-70 mm of play at the branching downstream after the turbocharger.

HINT: Use a mobile jack with universal plate  9995972  as a support. 

Remove the gaskets.

Seal the openings at the exhaust system.
