Replacing the component

• Replace the sun roof motor. See Motor sun roof, replacement (1999-) or Motor sun roof, replacement (2003-2006).
• Ignition off
• Reinstall the components and connectors etc.
• Ignition on.

After carrying out repairs, the sun roof module (SRM) should be calibrated. See Sun roof module (SRM), calibrating .

Check that automatic closing of the sun roof works by pressing forward the switch 2 steps.

Does the automatic closing of the sun roof work? 

• YES

• NO 

  Refer to Replacing the component

• Ignition off

  Replace the sun roof control module according to Control module, sun roof, replacing (1999-) or Control module, sun roof, replacing (2003-2006).

• Continue
