Checking the supply wire

Remove unlocking relay 2/67 (RMI 20) in the boot relay/fuse box.

Check the wire between 2 in the cable connector and 3 in the relay socket for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .

If a fault is detected, check in particular the intermediate connector in the cable harness (1) for Contact resistance and oxidation .

If no fault is found, check the resistance between 4 in the relay socket and ground.

The ohmmeter should display 0 ohm in both cases.

If the resistance deviates, replace the control unit.
